1. The Ottawa Kosher Food bank provides a 3 day supply of food to over 75 families once a month.
2. Aside from food, we also accept donations of household items such as diapers (specifically size 4, 5, and 6 right now), unopened toiletries (like shampoo, soap, toothpaste) and paper products (such as Kleenex, paper towels, toilet paper).
3. We have several donation bins around Ottawa – at the JCC near the front desk, Loblaws in College Square, Machzikei Hadas, Kehillat Beth Israel, Beth Tikvah, and Temple Israel. Please check expiration dates and hecshers (kosher signs) before donating.
4. Monetary donations are always welcome! Consider making a donation in honor of a special occasion or in memory of someone who has passed away. Donations can be made by phone by calling (613) 728-3501 ext 235 or through this website or the KBI membership website at Shulcloud.
